After being surrounded by cats, returning to horses is a welcome change ...

Just at the layering up the base colours stage

before 'sculpting' the face

in paint.

Something about horses

I worked with a girl who said 

that if you could bottle and sell the scent of a sweaty horse, 

your would be set up for life...

I know exactly what she means - 

even now as I type this I can 'mentally enhale the distinctive essence of horses' .....

She has become this ...

And yesterday she went to her new home - I think she'll be very happy and fit right in :)

Boxer - piebald pony, commission

Quietly working away on my latest commission - a lovely gypsy cob called 'Boxer', I love his whiskery chin :)
